My Addiction

I am embarrassed to admit it but I love all the celebrity gossip blogs. I have my favorites in my profile under blogs I'm following. I cannot explain why I find these fascinating, but I can't keep from reading them. I think I found CelebritySmack first. There was this brouhaha going on about nude pictures of Jude Law being posted on the internet, and, out of idle curiosity, I sought that picture, and found it on Celebrity Smack. That one started it all. CS is great because it's snarky and frequently updated. Check it out. If you love talking smack, you'll love it.

Next I found gofugyourself, which is great fun. The bloggers make fun of celebrity fashion. Their pictures are great and their writing is hilarious. Huge fun.

Awful Plastic Surgery holds a gawking-at-a-train-wreck kind of fascination for me. These lovely celebrities who ruin themselves with plastic surgery sort of give you the idea that maybe they don't have it so great after all. If your happiness depends upon how you look (or how you think you look) it's got to be a tough life. Amazing what people will do to themselves.

Why I care, I don't know. If I spend as much time studying some serious academics as I do studying the rich and famous, I'd have several doctorate degrees by now.

But I've got to run for now -- and see if any of my favorite blogs has updated recently. :)
